Opening the package unveils its contents
You will find inside printed information about the power supply and a short installation guide.
Something that we rarely see is a quick power supply tester
Many different cables are included
all cables feel great with high quality
and include the needed PSU (to connect PSU) and mark for the other side (PCI-e)
The included cable for ATX3.0 enabled graphic cards is rated up to 600 watts, meaning it can support up to RTX4090 graphics cards, and the 1000watt of rating is enough to keep you covered for the near future if you don't plan to upgrade your system, anytime soon.
The PSU dimensions are (without cables) 160 mm (L) x 150 mm (W) x 86 mm (H)(mm). The build material is metal with black color and matte finish. Overall we don't have any complaints about the build quality.
The Vertex logo is at the side area
The used fan is a silence-optimized fan with 135mm size, Fluid Dynamic Bearing technology, with an expected life span of 50,000 hours at 40 °C, 15 % - 65 % RH, and comes from Hong Hua fan manufacturer.
The back of the PSU includes a honeycomb design to help transfer the produced internal heat from the PSU. There is also the on/off switch and the Hybrid mod. In Hybrid or Fanless Mode (SFC), the fan will not turn (!). Seasonic recommends installing your PSU with a ventilation top cover facing UPWARD, towards the direction of the motherboard. This will ensure natural heat dissipation.
The main connectors of the PSU are displayed below
The PSU is designed with modular cables in mind and has many different cables, which are mentioned below.
Cable type | Connector(s) per cable | Total Length (mm) | Number(s) of cable(s) included | |
---|---|---|---|---|
MB (24/20 pins) | 1 | 610 | 1 | |
CPU (8/4 pins) | 1 | 700 | 2 | |
PCIe (8/6 pins) | 1 | 750 | 3 | |

Molex | 3 | 690 | 1 | |
12VHPWR | 1 (16 Pins to 16 Pins) | 750 | 1 |
The length of the included cable is good enough for most full-size cases, no worry here. The Seasonιc Vertex GX-1000 is rated 80Plus Gold, meaning you should expect 89% efficiency at full 230V.
The output total 1000W is gained from a single +12V rail, which usually is preferred for sudden and high loads, like using the latest Intel/AMD processors with the Nvidia RTX4000 series and AMD RX7000 series. The specifications indicate
