This makes Sentinel the first non-Asian manufacturer. The figures of EMA show that the consumer has clearly adopted the DVD+RW media as a standard, with over 80% market share in the rewritable DVD segment. It is obvious that the compatibility with the available drives on the market and the userfriendliness strongly contributed to this success... The userfriendliness mainly adds up to the ‘one-button recording’ concept for home DVD recorders and the ‘drag-and-drop’ feature for personal computers, as for floppy disks. With the production of DVD+RW media, Sentinel enforces its dominant position on the European market of rewritable data storage media and the fact that it is ready for further developments in this segment.
