Sling Media Readies Beta Version of SlingPlayer Mobile for Palm OS
Do you have a Treo 700, 680 or 650 and a Slingbox? Sling Media has begun taking applications from people who would like to try out the beta of the Palm OS version of SlingPlayer Mobile.
This is the same application that already allows Windows Mobile users to "Sling" their TV content onto their Smart Phones and will allow owners of Palm OS-based devices to watch everything they could on their home TV on their beloved Treos. With a SlingBox, users can have live TV programs streamed to their mobile device. They can also control a home digital video recorder (DVR), DVD player, video tape player, and more.
Sling Media says this application is for those who have a Treo 700p, Treo 680, Palm TX, or Treo 650.
Interested people can apply for the private beta of SlingPlayer Mobile for Palm OS on Sling Media?s web site. Anyone interested should be aware that there is an extensive sign-up form that must be filled out in order to get access to the beta, and not everyone who signs up will be approved.
The full version of this application is expected to be available in the next couple of months. Pricing has not been finalized at this time.
