Sony announced today a new Double Density CD-RW drive. The model codename is "CRX2000L" and it's actually an external ,FireWire based, version of the internal CRX200E we have already tested. The drive comes with PrimoCD Plus, abCD and supports: 12x writing, 8x re-writing, 32x reading (CD/DDCD) and 8MB of buffer.
