Moser Baer, world’s second largest optical media manufacturer, recently introduced a new series of CDR 52x media for duplication. The new "Professional Select" CDR (700MB) is made using a patented process which offer surface uniformity and eliminates any variations across the disc surface. This uniformity ensures that the discs will be fully printable and thus, they are perfectly suited for professional duplications.

Moreover, the quality of the new discs is also high enough to offer wide compatibility across various drives, including the Plextor Premium & Plextor 711.

The Professional Select series of CDR are available with different printable coatings for professional duplication, including the silver, white and waterproof – "Aqua-shield" versions for inkjet printers as well as the silver and white versions for thermal printing.

Moser Baer claims that the "Aqua-shield" discs with a waterproof Inkjet printable surface offer superb disc printing results at a much lower overall cost compared to thermal media.
