It supports hard disks for FAT12, FAT16, FAT32. Files can be recovered on logical and physical hard disks, and all types of hard drives and fixed media. File Recover supports IDE/ATA/SCSI drives and drives larger than 8GB.

File Recover is a non-destructive read-only application and will not write to the drive it is recovering from. File Recover will scan the drive and present a list of files which can be saved. The search and filter functions have robust sorting and search capabilities, including search by partial filename, and sorting by name, directory, file type or deleted file date.
