Asus Confirms ARM Tablet Roadmap For 2012
Asustek has unveiled its tablet roadmap for 2012 at a press event in Taipei, Taiwan.
Asus executives said the firm will showcase an ARM tablet running the Microsofft Windows 8 operating system at CES, with plans for the device to hit shelves by the end of 2012.
The firm also announced the 3G version of its Nvidia Tegra 3 based Transformer Prime tablet, with an improved GPS module. The tablet will be released in March.
Asus said it would be releasing a 7-inch tablet, the Asus Memo, as well as a new 10-inch tablet with a high screen resolution. Both those tablets are expected to be on display at CES.
Two more 10-inch tablets were announced for the latter half of 2012, though Asus would not provide any additional details on these.
