ASUS PadFone Mini Tablet/phone Combo Launched in Taiwan
ASUS on Wednesday revealed a smaller model of its Padfone series in Taiwan - thePadFone Mini phone combo.
The device, which is also expected to reach the U.S. (Q2 2014), Europe and the rest of Asia excluding China, is actually a 4.3-inch smartphone that comes with a 7-inch tablet dock into which the phone fits, transforming it into a tablet computer.
Costing NT$11,990 (US$405), the device is packing a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon MSM8226 CPU and 1GB of RAM inside, with a 960 x 540 screen on the phone and 1,280 x 800 resolution panel on its tablet. The combo offers 16GB of storage and a microSD slot for expansion, runs on Android 4.3 software , a dual-SIM card slot, an 8-megapixel camera plus 1,500 mAh and 2,200 mAh batteries in the phone and tablet, respectively.
