YouTube "Trusted Flaggers" To Police Videos
YouTube has unveiled the Trusted Flagger Program that seeks to empower YouTube channel users to keep their community clean.
With 100 hours of video uploaded to YouTube every minute, it is simply not possible to pre-screen content. To ensure that YouTube's Community Guidelines are followed, Google's Youtube has a community flagging system which allows users to report potential violations. Once a user flags a video, a review is triggered. Youtube's policy enforcement team reviews flagged content 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, removing material that violates the site's policies.
To make the flagging process more efficient, Youtube is inviting a small set of users who flag content regularly to join the Trusted Flagger Program. Membership in the Trusted Flagger Program gives users access to more advanced flagging tools as well as periodic feedback, making flagging more effective and efficient.
