Acer Launches New C720 Chromebookd With Intel Core i3 Processors
Acer has introduced the first Chromebooks powered by a 4th Generation Intel Core i3 processors. The Acer C720 Chromebook will be available in two models with a 4th Generation Intel Core i3-40005U processor (1.7GHz, 3MB L3 cache). The Acer C720-3404 will have 4GB of memory and will be priced at $379.99, while the Acer C720-3871 will have 2GB of memory and will be priced at $349.99. They will be available this month at retailers in North America.
Like other Acer C720 models, the new C720-3404 and C720-3871 will have fast 32GB Solid State Drive that boots up in less than 7 seconds and resumes nearly instantly from sleep mode. They also have a 8.5-hour battery life.
Acer Chromebooks are running on Chrome OS, which is updated regularly. Also information, Gmail and Google Drive documents are kept safe since Chrome supports multiple user logins.
The new Chrome OS models have a 11.6-inch ComfyView HD display with a 1366x768 resolution. Plus, the Acer C720 has 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi connectivity, an integrated HD webcam and microphone. The Acer C720 connects to a range of peripherals and external displays thanks to its HDMI, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports.
