AMD Delays CrossFire Freesync Update
AMD is pushing back plans to support Crossfire configurations for its Freesync monitors.
Freesync was launced in March but the first version supported only single-GPU configurations. Multi-GPU Crossfire systems could not be used with Freesync, requiring users to trade-off between Crossfire and Freesync.
AMD has posted anupdate on the status of Crossfire Freesync over on their forums. The company says that after QA testing they believe that Crossfire Freesync "is not quite ready for release" and that they will be holding it back as a result.
AMD also delayed the AMD Catalyst driver that would offer this support, and plans to continue to develop and test the new solution.
