LG V20 Smartphone To Have Enhanced Audio Functions
LG Electronics said Thursday it will equip its upcoming flagship V20 handset with an optimum audio system, in collaboration with audio chipset maker ESS. The new smartphone will come with a 32-bit Hi-Fi quad digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from ESS, transmitting clear and vivid sound like being in a live performance, according to LG Electronics.
The DAC is used mostly for music playing devices converting digital data streams into analog audio signals.
The quad DAC system is expected to reduce noise up to 50 percent, compared to a single DAC which was used for the V10 last year.
LG Electronics plans to launch the new premium handset early next month. The model will be the firm's first flagship model to run the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system (OS).
The company previously said the V20 will feature improved multimedia functionality especially in audio and camera components.
