SoftBank, Yahoo Japan, Aeon Team Up On Online Retail Network: report
SoftBank Group, Yahoo Japan and Aeon plan to launch an online retail business in Japan, Japanese broadcaster NHK reported on Friday.
The online business will sell products including food, clothes and everyday goods, NHK said citing unnamed sources.
The tie-up could tale advantage of SoftBank and Yahoo Japan's customer base and data analysis abilities with Aeon's wide product range and distribution network in the country.
The companies declined to provide any comment.
Online retail giant Amazon.com is increasing its range of services in Japan, trialing its "Fresh" food delivery service in parts of Tokyo.
Last month Walmart and Rakuten also said they would launch an online grocery delivery service.
