New Intel Unite Cloud Service Makes Enterprise Collaboration More Acces

Intel on Monday launched the Intel Unite Cloud Service, which enables choice in deployment and management of Intel Unite solution for organizations of all sizes.

Intel offers the Intel Unite solution in the cloud, as well as on premise. The new Intel Unite Cloud Service delivers the same features organizations can expect from the on-premise offering: secure wireless content sharing with meeting rooms, remote users and guests. But instead of spending time and resources to manage an on premise PIN server, this function is now deployed in the cloud, potentially minimizing infrastructure costs and IT overhead.

Built on top of the Intel vPro platform, the Intel Unite solution is designed with built-in security, stability and manageability features. With telemetry, IT and facilities management also have access to a broad set of data, from meeting room hardware and connectivity to room usage. Intel Unite is designed to work with major unified communication solutions like Skype for Business, Cisco WebEx and Zoom.

Intel Unite supports PCs with Windows 7, 8.1, and 10, macOS, iOS devices, Android devices, Chromebooks, and Linux-based (Fedora, Red Hat, and Ubuntu) devices. All content shared across Intel Unite software is 256-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encrypted to help protect meeting data within your secure network. Configurable rotating PIN ensures that only the people invited to a meeting attend.

Meetings can be scheduled in Outlook from Windows-based clients and joined with a click, no PIN required. The Ultrasonic meeting join allows meeting participants to walk into a meeting room, launch their Intel Unite app, and automatically connect into their meeting securely, no PIN required.

Attendees click on a file to make it available to everyone in the meeting. In addition, native touch integration allows users to manage the meeting from the front of the room with a touch-enabled display. The inclusion of screen control (touchback) allows users with Windows 10 clients to untether from their devices and control their presentations from the room display.

An snnotation feature allows participants to draw attention to anything on the screen, circling, underlining, or jotting notes as if using a whiteboard

The solution also supports multiple simultaneous presenters—up to 4 screens per display and up to 4 displays.

The Intel Unite Cloud Service will be available on June 12, through Intel at www.intel.com/unitecloudservice
