ADATA Prospector 950 SSD Supports Up to 28,000TB Writes

ADATA Prospector 950 SSD Supports Up to 28,000TB Writes

PC components Jul 21,2021 0

The new Prospector950 SSD, aimed to Chia mining, was officially unveiled by ADATA. This SSD allows data writing up to 40 times that of a typical model with a total write volume of 28,000 TBW.

To generate your plots with great speed, the Prospector 950 uses an M.2 PCI-E 3.0 x4 connection, reaching read speeds of up to 3500MB / s and write speeds of up to 3000MB / s, and random reads of up to 280K IOPS in read and 220K IOPS in writing, allowing you to transmit your plots to several hard drives simultaneously without worries. In addition to Chia mining, the Prospector 950 Pro SSD is ideal for tasks such as video editing, allowing you to upload and download large files such as 4K videos in seconds, without having to worry about wear and tear on the SSD. .

Regarding this launch, ADATA Country Product Manager in Argentina, Fabio Selvaggio, stated: “Since Chia's arrival we have seen a great demand for SSDs with the ability to support a large amount of data writing, which until a few months ago they were only available for industrial and server applications. With our Prospector line, we seek to offer a new alternative for this market sector that allows plotting for extended periods of time without worrying about the useful life and at a much more accessible cost than a server-oriented SSD, allowing Chia miners to work calm without the need to make large outlays of money.
