Writing Quality Tests
Memorex Dual-X1
We used Professional 80min 48X CD-R media and burned the same AudioCD project (with CD-Text) at 8X, 12X and 16X. Below you can see the 3T Pit & Land Jitter graphs.
- 3T Pit results
As we can see from the graph above, the 3T Pit Jitter stays far below the 35ns RED book limit for all the available recording speeds. Memorex can burn CD with great quality.
The average 3T Pit Jitter values for all recording speeds are illustrated in the following table.
From the table above we confirming the quality performance of the drive.
- 3T Land results
The average 3T Land results are slightly increased in comparison with the previous measurements of the 3T Pit Jitter. The maximum jitter value was 31ns, in the beginning of the CD, which is a very good number. After that the values decreased again giving back more quality results.
The average 3T Land Jitter values for all recording speeds are illustrated in the following table.
Once again we can see in the table above how awful the drive performed. Memorex is an excellent CD recorder.

The average 3T Pit and Land jitter values are far beyond the 35nsec standard for all the recording speeds. Memorex had better 3T Pit jitter values than Teac while the 3T Land jitter values was almost the same for both drives.
