It appears that AACS 2.0 (Advanced Access Content System), the copy protection scheme used in commercial releases of 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray movies, has been cracked.

Torrent community UltraHDClub has taken full credit for cracking AACS 2.0 and has uploaded the first pirated 4K Ultra HD movie, which appears to be a full copy of the 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray disc.

The macive file is 53.30 GB. We'll have to wait and see if this isn't a fluke, which means either more 4K UHD movies will start appearing on torrent sites or they won't.
