Acer introduces CRW2410A

General Interest Oct 1,2001 0

Acer's new CRW 2410A is the fastest CD writer on the market today. Its performance is quite simply superb: a data rate write of up to 3600 KB/sec (24X), a data rate rewrite of up to 1500 KB/sec (10X), and a data rate read of up to 6000 KB/sec (40X). No other product on the market can match this performance. The typical access time is 100 ms and it has a buffer of 2 Mbytes. The CRW 2410A can accept both 80 mm and 120 mm CD discs and is suitable for a wide range of formats: CD-R, CD-RW, CD-ROM (mode 1 and mode 2), CD-ROM XA (mode 2, form 1 and form 2), CD-DA, Bootable CD, Photo CD (single and multi-sessions), Video CD, CD-Extra, Mixed mode CD, and CD-text. It offers a variety of writing modes: Disc-at-once, Track-at-once, Multisession, Packet writing, and Raw Writing. It is fitted with an E-IDE/ATAPI interface, and is compatible with Windows 95/98/ME/2000 and NT 4.0. Of course, the 2410A features the Acer patented Seamless Link Technology. The new Acer CRW 2410A is bundled with two high-speed discs (1 CD-RW and 1 CD-R) and comes with a full range of Nero software.
