Akasa introduced the Skyline 3 Pro, an aluminium fanless case with a skyline-shaped top cover, designed for the ASUS Tinker Board 3 and 3S single-board computers (SBCs). The Skyline 3 Pro offers passive cooling in a compact form factor, making it ideal for diverse embedded applications, including digital signage, edge AI and IoT, smart retail/kiosk, medical and other enterprise systems that require maintenance-free operation in silent environments.

The Skyline 3 Pro’s sandblasted, anodised aluminium body serves not only as a protective shell but also as a passive heatsink. The custom thermal module and included thermal pads draw heat away from the SBC’s “hot zones” and dissipate it into the surrounding air through the sculpted “skyline” ridged heatsink fins, which are designed to maximise surface area for effective cooling.

The ASUS Tinker Board 3 and 3S are compact Arm® single-board computers (SBCs) with quad-core Cortex-A55 processors, Mali™-G52 graphics and built-in NPUs for seamless AI integration. The SBCs feature a broad selection of I/O, 4K display support and flexible power input, making them suitable for diverse industrial applications.

Despite its compact, 0.24-litre volume, footprint (68.4 x 96 x 37.3 mm), the Skyline 3 Pro maintains full access to the ASUS Tinker Board 3 and 3S interfaces. The SBCs feature one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, two USB 2.0 Type-A and one USB 2.0 Micro-B connection, along with ports for HDMI (4K resolution) and MIPI DSI (full HD resolution), and expandable memory (in the form of a micro-SD card). Accessories play an essential role in the customisability of the ASUS Tinker Board 3 and 3S, and the Skyline 3 Pro is designed for high functionality; the case comes with openings for GPIO wiring and antennas for Wi-Fi connectivity with the onboard M.2 E-key for Wi-Fi 5 and 6E.
