Albatron KM51PV Mainboard With GeForce 6150 GPU
Albatron Technology recently announced its new KM51PV mainboard based on Nvidia Geforce 6150, nForce 430 with nVidia Pure Video technology chipset.
During the design and development process, there was much speculation on how this new nVidia chipset would impact the endless amount of graphics information that needs to be processed during animation. However, there was no way of being certain until the first test results were compiled.
It was middle 2005 when Albatron engineers began testing its first KM51PV prototype mainboard with the results soon to follow.
Later versions of the KM51PV board were recently tested with an Athlon 64 939 3600+ CPU, DDR 400 memory (512 MB). Albatron claims that the systems were found to be capable of performing at a rate of many times that of a traditional integration MB.
Another feature on this chipset is Pure Video Technology. PureVideo combines the high quality DVD and MPEG-playback with rich Dolby Digital surround sound. Also featuring hardware-accelerated video on all Microsoft DirectX compatible graphics processors, the NVIDIA PureVideo Decoder delivers high color fidelity and smooth DVD, video, and TV viewing. Pure video can be enabled on KM51PV with an optional PureVideo DVD decoder utility.
The KM51PV has a smaller, space saving micro ATX form factor. In addition, Albatron managed to squeeze in many features, including PCI E 16x, PCI E 1 x, DVI connector for latest LCD monitor, TV out, and HD TV ready connector, supports 720P and 1080i, (optional HDTV cable required). This board also supports multi-display. It can connect TV+CRT, TV+LCD, CRT+LCD, or LCD+LCD.
At side from all these functions KM51PV can support latest technology like AMD Athlon 64 X2 (Dual core processor), SATA II, PCI Express graphics card, and USB 2.0. This full function pack board will hit the market soon.
