Chinese website Economic Daily News reports that the waiting for the release of Apple's next AirPods is over.

The report claims that Apple will launch the new Bluetooth Airpods along with a wireless charging case "in the spring." The repport also asys that the price of the new Airpods will be no higher than it is now ($159).

One manufacturer, Inventec, has begun production of a new and different version of AirPods, specifically that the new product has the wireless charging case, for instance, the report says. In terms of design, the new AirPods will also use the same technology as the previous generation of wireless Bluetooth headset to maintain the integrity of the two, according to the report, However, that claim is surprising, considering the new new Airpods will most probably support
hands-free Siri functions, which would rewuire some hardware upgrades.

The report also claims that the new AirPods will also come in a black version, a new surface coating design.

AirPods with wireless charging case will be announced alongside AirPower at the presumed Apple special event on March 25.
