Ashampoo is a small German software developer with a range of products covering system utilities and tools, multimedia and CD burning software.

According to Mr Johann Luppen, Public Relations Officer for ashampoo, the soon to be released version 4.0 of Cd Recording will offer better quality and speed with CD-R/RW media and better compatibility with drives. The new version will also be much friendlier than previous versions and far simpler to use compared to other burning software currently available on the market. The program’s compact size is a positive attribute, making it suitable for fast downloading from the manufacturer’s site.

Phonoline, the platform for legal download of music developed by the German phono industry, will use ashampoo’s burning software, to burn downloaded music tracks.

The new burning software offers copying of data, audio, mp3, movie cd, video cd, super vcd files, as well as cd copying and cd rw erasing. Mr Luppen also informed us about the following version of the software, which will have support for DVD media and is scheduled to be released in a few months.
