ASUS at CES announced multiple products for home
entertainment, content creation, gaming and mobile consumers.
Products designed to enhance professional
content creation and productivity include the new PB287Q
28-inch monitor capable of displaying the latest 4K/UHD (Ultra
High Definition) resolutions. The ASUS PB287Q is also easy on
the eyes for both graphics and text with impressive scrolling
and 1ms response times.
ASUS has added some exclusive technologies to PB287Q, including updating Splendid Plus to eliminate only the blue component of light from the panel backlight. This reduces eyestrain and ASUS Flicker-free technology ensures razor-sharp and stable images at all times.
PB287Q features HDMI and HDMI/MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) connectors and native DisplayPort for 4K/UHD content support.
The Z87-Deluxe/SATA Express is a new concept motherboard and the first to implement the SATA Express interface, while ThunderboltEX II is a flexible add-on card that delivers the latest Intel Thunderbolt 2 transfer speeds of up to 20Gbit/s.
Asus says the ThunderboltEX II/DUAL will also e available in the near future.
ASUS also demonstrates the palm-sized S1 Mobile LED Projector and SWB-S1, the first Blu-ray surround-sound station.
The S1 Mobile LED Projector is a portable projector with a built-in rechargeable battery that lasts for up to three hours on a single charge. It also doubles as a USB battery pack for smartphone and tablet devices. At just 3cm (1.18in) tall and weighing a mere 342g (0.75lbs), the S1 Mobile LED Projector is the perfect portable projector for mobile professionals that need to travel light.
The S1 Mobile LED Projector gives a 41-inch diagonal projection just one meter away from the screen. It includes an HDMI/MHL port while the integrated speaker employs exclusive ASUS SonicMaster technology.
For hardcore gamers, ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) is displaying the ROG Front Base Dual-Bay Gaming Panel, an easy-to-use command center that fits to the front of a PC and allows instant control over a variety of key parameters.
The new ROG product act as a command center occupying two 5.25" drive bays and with its built-in 4-inch display provides gamers with information and fingertip control over their equipment so they can concentrate on gaming. The ROG Front Base Dual Bay Gaming Panel is compatible with all ROG Maximus VI (Z87 chipset-based) motherboards as well as the Rampage IV Black Edition.
The Front Base Dual-Bay Gaming Panel also provides instant access to five equalization modes with the Quick EQ Switch.
The panel features overclocking capabilities and easily accessed fan controls, system temperature displays and supports fast USB charging even when a supported PC is powered off. ASUS also announced PadFone mini, a 4-inch smartphone that transforms into a 7-inch tablet. This latest addition to the ASUS PadFone family is powered by an Intel Atom Z2560 processor, has 8GB of internal storage and a micro SD card slot that enables storage to be upgraded by up to 64GB.
The PadFone mini is a smartphone that's also a lightweight handheld tablet featuring exclusive ASUS DynamicDisplay technology that automatically resizes apps for the different display sizes, an 8-megapixel rear camera (8MP Sony BSI sensor aperture f/2.0 five-element lens, ASUS PixelMaster technology) and 2MP front-facing camera. Asus' PixelMaster's Low-Light Mode measures the available light and intelligently adjusts the pixel size to increase light sensitivity by up to 400% - and that means PadFone mini has the ability to snap low-lights shots even without the built-in flash.

The VivoTab Note 8 is a new Windows 8.1 tablet featuring a professional Wacom digitizer stylus. It is bundled with Microsoft Office Home and Student, which includes Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.
The VivoTab Note 8 is powered by the latest Intel Atom Z3740 processor, it offers up to 8 hours battery life, 2GB of memory, up to 64GB of solid-state storage plus the ability to use up to 64GB microSD cards.
SonicMaster audio technology uses a tailored mix of hardware and software to enhance sound quality. The device is also equipped with rear-facing stereo speakers with large resonance chambers.
