Asustek Showcases New Thin, UL Laptop Family
Asustek took the wraps off a new family of thin, light laptop PCs designed for long battery life on Monday, the UnLimited family, or UL notebook PCs.
The new ASUS UnLimited Series features the latest Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 processor as well as the exclusive ASUS Turbo33 Technology for enhanced computing performance. The notebooks are also powered by a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce G 210M graphics card and feature up to 12 hours of battery life, thanks to the ASUS GraphiX Boost which allows users to conserve their battery power by switching between dedicated and integrated graphics.
The ASUS UnLimited Series is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 processor, it features multi-core processing which combines two independent processor cores into one physical package. It also features the exclusive ASUS Turbo33 Technology which boosts overall performance by 33%, amalgamating both hardware and software solutions to deliver smoother graphics and online streaming.
The ASUS UnLimited Series also features a high definition LCD display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, with graphics powered by a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce G 210M graphics card with 512MB VRAM. Working in concert with the visuals are two specially designed Altec Lansing speakers supported by SRS Premium Sound.
To provide users with longer lasting battery life for unlimited, all-day computing and entertainment, the ASUS UL Series boasts a battery lifespan of up to 12 hours. This is attributed to an exclusive GraphiX Boost technology, which gives users the option of switching between the dedicated NVIDIA GeForce G 210M graphics card for graphically intensive applications, and integrated graphics for better energy savings. Equally exclusive is the ASUS Power4Gear, which facilitates the deployment and usage of power according to the users' preferences in relation to the specific tasks that they need to perform. The user can choose from four power profiles to suit their prevailing usage. Power4Gear also offers the option of turning off hardware devices to conserve even more energy.
The ASUS UnLimited Series measures less than 1-inch thick and features a lightweight brushed-aluminum lid.
