The be quiet! Pure Rock 2 FX is actually note a new product but the original Pure Rock 2 with the new "ARGB" Light Wings 2 and we can say is a medium sized CPU cooler. The retail box securely includes the CPU cooler and its accessories. The product will cost around $52.90 (MSRP). However due to the 20-year brand anniversary launch will be offered at discounts up to $13, available at select partners while stock lasts OR until the end of September. After this date, the price would return back to $52.90 (3 years warranty).

The product supports many Intel (1700 / 1200 / 2066 / 1150 / 1151 / 1155 / 2011(-3) square ILM) and recent AMD (AM5 / AM4) sockets. Opening the box unveils the contents, the CPU cooler is at the middle and accessories and everything is well organized and protected

  • 1x be quiet! Light Wings 2 120mm PWM high-speed version
  • Several user manual languages
  • thermal compound already pre-installed
  • 1x Intel Mounting Kit
  • 1x AMD mounting Kit
  • 4x mounting brackets for fan

 

The product includes one 120mm fan for RGB function and good performance. Users could add a second 120mm fan in case they want increased performance and more...RGB. The included fan is the Light Wings 120mm PWM High-Speed version.

The CPU cooler is small to medium sized and and users could also use the online compatibility list to be 100% sure. At the top of the cpu cooler, there is also the be quiet! logo.

The exact dimensions are found below. You would need around 155mm height for the cooler and around 121mm width.. There is a 38mm height clearance for the CPU fins, while due to its compact dimensions you shouldn't expect series problems even with high profile memory modules.

 

The be quiet! Pure Rock 2 FX is equipped with Heat Pipe direct touch (HDT Technology), which translates that the heat from the CPU is absorbed directly by the four (4) 6mm high-performance copper heat pipes with black colour, nice finish.
