BenQ Announces Consolidated Sales for August
BenQ today announced its consolidated revenue for the month of August.
The company's core business recorded sales of NT$ 8.9 billion, down 17% month-on-month. At the Taiwan parent company level, August revenue was NT$ 9.1 billion, up slightly month-on-month.
According to Eric Ky Yu, BenQ's Vice President of Finance and Spokesperson, "LCD monitor shipment dropped month-on-month as pace of product delivery slowed in August. We expect demand for LCD monitors to recover beginning September. In terms of sales of own-brand products, business grew in Europe driven by increased demand for the company's latest LCD monitors and newly launched wireless projector."
"Looking ahead to September, PC peripheral products should benefit from seasonal recovery. "Additionally, we expect sales of projectors, LCD TV and handsets to strengthen in the coming months benefiting from both seasonality and newer models launched with higher average selling prices," Mr. Yu continued.
"On integration planning, I am pleased to report that integration discussions with Siemens Mobile Devices are on track," added Mr. Yu. ?With the new organization, key appointments have been made. Both teams are busy at work synchronizing the two product roadmaps, with R&D and branding strategy close to being finalized. We are in final stages of mapping out a new supply chain framework for the combined business and looking forward to working with improved sourcing efficiency."
