Bittorent Releases SoShare For Sharing Large Files
Bittorent has just launched SoShare, an app that allows users to share large files using BitTorrent technology.
SoShare is a public beta that evolved out of a need of people working in creative industries and media to share large files.
SoShare allows them to send up to a terabyte of data in one transfer to any number of recipients.
Users can create a free account, install the SoShare plug-in, and upload up their audio, film, or design projects. By enering their collaborator?s email address, they can and send their project bundle. Recipients get an email saying that the bundle is waiting for them. No account needed in order to access the file.
Because SoShare is based on a BitTorrent browser plug-in, delivery is swift. Users can pause and resume transfers if they have to switch gears. SoShare will keep tabs on delivery status. Files are live for 30 days, but the sender can expire them at any time.
