Blue laser success for AudioDev at Media-Tech Expo

Blue laser success for AudioDev at Media-Tech Expo

Optical Storage May 25,2005 0

The Media-Tech Expo in Las Vegas proved to be a very successful event for AudioDev. “Our CATS BD analyzers for R/RE and ROM received unbelievable attention”, says Michael Engstrφm, President of AudioDev USA Inc. “By having our CATS reference class analyzers for 3rd generation optical media fully operational on the show floor, we proved to the industry that we are taking the lead in signal testing of the blue laser formats”, he continues. “This show further strengthens our market position in the US and worldwide. We have a great team with long experience and knowledge, which is much appreciated by our customers”, says Michael. Although many exhibitors commented that the show floor was somewhat quiet, this was not the case in AudioDev’s booth.

The complete range of CATS and Go! analyzers were on display in Las Vegas together with our Services concept that include training, worldwide support and TestCenters. For the very first time, we showed our combined analyzers for all recordable DVD media and stampers. The new analyzers combine the widely accepted CATS de-facto standard signal analyzers for DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW into one single analyzer.

AudioDev held a well attended workshop titled “Quality control of blue laser optical media and more”. We also participated and shared our knowledge in the seminar titled “Media testing & hardware standards” at the IDDA conference for duplicators, held during the Media-Tech Expo. During the show, RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), released the news that TestCenter by AudioDev is the certified quality laboratory for Dual Disc. In all, a great success for AudioDev!
