Canopus announces portable MPEG-2 player with HD
Canopus announced the MTPlayer MP20-HDD, a portable device that can playback MPEG-1/2 files stored in its built-in hard disk. The player offers easy connection with your PC through USB 2.0 interface, allowing video transferring and storage to the HD. TV connectivity is also included. Available by January 2004, the player will cost approximately 19,800 Yen (150 Euros).
MP3 and JPEG are also supported by the drive. Note that the 2.5-inch hard disk is sold separately. Except from the PC connectivity through USB 2.0, users are able to transfer their data to the hard disk through memory stick, compact flash, Smart Media e.t.c
In addition to the connection cables and the AC adapter, the retail package includes a remote control kit.
