Concord Camera Corp. Introduces 'Just for Fun'' DC Line Priced under $50
Concord Camera today announced that it is extending its position in the under $50 camera market with a "Just for Fun" line of entry-level VGA and 1 Megapixel digital cameras.
The Concord Eye-Q 642 VGA and Concord 1500 1.3 Megapixel digital cameras are perfect inexpensive entry-level cameras for college students, web surfers, and even grandparents. "The 'Just for Fun' line of digital cameras allows retailers to tap into the large market of consumers seeking to cost-effectively experiment with digital cameras before committing to spending hundreds of dollars," said Connie Chan, Senior Marketing Manager.
Concord Eye-Q 642
At only $24.99, the Concord Eye-Q 642 is a great impulse item and stocking stuffer for the holiday gift-giving season. The compact VGA digital camera has 2 MB of internal memory for storing up to 80 pictures, a continuous shooting mode at 3 frames per shot, self-timer, webcam functionality and takes video clips at QVGA resolution.
Concord 1500
Also shaped in a popular pocket-sized design, the Concord 1500 is a step-up in resolution to 1.3 Megapixels with in-camera interpolation to 2 Megapixels for only $49.99. It features a strobe, SD card slot for removable memory cards, 8MB of internal memory for up to 50 images, webcam functionality and takes video clips at QVGA resolution up to 15 fps.
The Concord Eye-Q 642 is expected be available in October 2004 for $24.99 and the Concord 1500 is expected to be available in December 2004 for $49.99 through Concord retailers.
