The ‘all inclusive’ Anvil Pro software tests transfer speeds as well as IOPS. The IOPS tests can be configurable with preset testing scenarios for read (Seq 4MB, 4K, 4K QD4, 4K QD16, 32K and 128K), write (Seq 4MB, 4K, 4K QD4, 4K QD16) and mixed IO.

We used the software with the Crucial SSD and tested the drive with 0-fill compression (RAW), 8% compression, 25% compression, 45% compression, 67% compression and finally 100 % (incompressible data).

Once again, the Crucial P1 1TB SSD reched its nominal read sequential speeds, and its random read performace was OK at QD1. Moving to higher QDs had an impact on the drive's speed.

The drive was fast in the 4K random read test, even in QD4 and QD16.

In the sequential 4MB write test, the Crucial P1 1TB SSD was not the fastest in th stack, but remained close to the top performers.

Surprisingly, the P1's score in the read tests was lower than in the write tests. The drive's overall score is adequate, although not as high as the ADATA's SSD 's, according to the Anvil Pro suite:
