Crucial Pro OC 32GB DDR5-6000 CL36 White
3. Conclusion
Crucial has been improving its DDR5 lineup and follows other memory manufacturers, which introduced to the market, high-speed DDR5 memory with low timings for increased performance. The Crucial Pro OC series follows that rule and now users can buy either for Intel or AMD platforms, fast memory with low CL36 timings, either in black or white color. For now, the DDR5-6000 CL36 series is offered in one package, the 32GB (2x16GB) kit, while later in 2024 users should expect even higher capacities.
The retail package is simple and you have to tear it to move both modules. The included white matt heat origami style spreader does look very nice and has low height for maximum CPU cooler compatibility. There is no RGB installed so users with a white look will love them. The kit includes two XMP/EXPO profiles, either at 5600 CL36 or 6000 CL36, of course, most users will use the 6000 CL36 right out of the box. The system was very stable and we didn't notice any issues during our benchmarking process. The kit needs 1.25V for the 5600MHz and 1.35V for the 6000MHz profile. It seems Crucial gave their maximum/best efforts with the Micron memory modules and we didn't find any room for any major improvement, some tighter timings at 6000MHz are possible with stock 1.35V, while we didn't test with higher voltages (for example 1.40/1.45V).
The retail price of the Crucial Pro OC DDR5-6000 32GB Memory kit is around $114.99 (normal price $153.99), making it properly priced close to the Crucial Pro DDR5-6000 CL48, which offers more relaxed timings. On the other hand, the competition offers down to CL30 with 6000MHz for a similar price, so we think with that reduced price, Crucial is competitive in the 6000MHz market. Users can bet on Crucial's legendary warranty (lifetime) and the dual Intel/AMD compatibility system with included AMD/XMP profiles that the competition doesn't offer.
