Denon Launches the Budget DHT-S216 Soundbar
Denon is launching the DHT-S216, an affordable soundbar featuring DTS Virtual:X designed for smaller TVs.
The DHT-S216 can be connected to almost any TV or media player using 4K UHD HDMI with Audio Return Channel so that the users can control volume with the TV’s remote control. it has both optical and auxiliary inputs for connecting other sound sources.
At just 6cm tall, the DHT-S216 is small enough to sit in front of a TV without blocking the IR remoter sensor, or it can be mounted on a wall under the screen. It packs a couple of 3-inch down-firing subwoofers, two racetrack-sized dual mid-range drivers and a pair of 1-inch tweeters.
New to this soundbar is a Pure Mode which eliminates surround processing and removes any adjusted sound-shaping associated with Movie, Music or Night EQ settings for a more precise and open sound. Listeners can also pair the soundbar with a smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth.
Denon’s DHT-S216 is available now and costs €219 / £199.
