VAIO Corp., the company formed when Sony Corp. sold its (VAIO) laptop business, has just released in Japan the first phone under the VAIO brand. The mid-range device will debut March 20, according to Japan Communications.

Vaio is the brand name Sony used for its personal computer business and is famous for high-spec devices with sleek designs. Nagano-based Vaio Corp. still manufactures computers under the brand.

The black VAIO phone has a 5-inch 720p, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, a 13-megapixel camera. It’s runs Android 5.0. and packs 2GB of RAM / 16GB memory. Power is coming out of a 2,500mAh battery. It weighs 130 grams.
