First VAIO Phone Released
VAIO Corp., the company formed when Sony Corp. sold its (VAIO) laptop business, has just released in Japan the first phone under the VAIO brand.
The mid-range device will debut March 20, according to Japan Communications.
Vaio is the brand name Sony used for its personal computer business and is famous for high-spec devices with sleek designs. Nagano-based Vaio Corp. still manufactures computers under the brand.
The black VAIO phone has a 5-inch 720p, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, a 13-megapixel camera. It’s runs Android 5.0. and packs 2GB of RAM / 16GB memory. Power is coming out of a 2,500mAh battery. It weighs 130 grams.
