Google Makes its Terms of Services Easier to Understand
Google has released a new version of its lengthy Terms of Services document, in response to court orders in Europe.
With the new document, Google is attempting to make sure people know exactly what they’re signing up for when they use its online services.
Google, Facebook, Twitter and other digital companies have been forced under a spotlight as regulators and customers examine just how much the companies know about their users and what they do with that information.
The new Terms of Services document does not inlcude any significant changes, but it uses a plain language to describe who can use its products and what you can post online.
Google has added links to documents that help shape the Terms, including a new overview of the way Google’s business works. Google also clarified that, to use its services, you must accept the Terms.
The new terms take effect in March.
