Google Maps Updated With More Street Views
Google has made its Street View coverage more comprehensive by doubling the number of special collections and updating over 250,000 miles of roads around the world.
Google is increasing Street View coverage in Macau, Singapore, Sweden, the U.S., Thailand, Taiwan, Italy, Great Britain, Denmark, Norway and Canada. Google is also launching special collections in South Africa, Japan, Spain, France, Brazil and Mexico, among others.
New places can be explored directly in Google Maps, including parks, city centers, castles and tourist attractions like Catherine Palace and Ferapontov monastery in Russia, the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall in Taiwan, or Stanley Park in Vancouver.
Street View is a useful resource when you're planning a route or looking for a destination, but it can also transport you to some of the world's picturesque and culturally significant landmarks. To learn more, visit: maps.google.com/streetview
