Google Nexus 5 Passes Bluetooth SIG and LTE Certifications

Google Nexus 5 Passes Bluetooth SIG and LTE Certifications

Smartphones Oct 14,2013 0

Google seems to be set for the announcement of the next-generation smartphone Nexus 5. After the US FCC certification documents were disclosed last month, Nexus 5 appeared this week in the wake of the Bluetooth SIG certification and the GCF's LTE support certification. The GCF is an international certification organization for mobile communication devices, such as cell phones and modules, loaded with GSM, WDMA and LTE communication technology, and evaluates conformance and network interworking.

Quoting the documents submitted to the GCF, Phone Arena reported that Google Nexus 5 acquired the max 150Mbps LTE UE Category 4 certification. This is the fastest speed in the category.

According to documents submitted to Bluetooth SIG, LG- D821 is known to be the model name of Nexus 5.

Reports claim that Google will announce Nexus 5, Nexus10 2 and Android 5.5 (code name KitKat) on October 15.

Nexus 5 is known to have the Qualcomm 2.3GHz Snap Dragon 800 quadcore processor, a 5-inch 1080p display, 2GB RAM, 16 or 32GB storage, 2300mAh battery, a 8-mega pixel rear camera and a 1.3-mega pixel front camera, and provide LTE support.
