Hitachi Offers New 3D LCD Display For Mobiles
Hitachi has developed a new 3D IPS LCD display featuring improved image quality by achieving a low crosstalk due to optimization of the parallax barrier.
The new IPS (In Plane Switching) LCD panel is 3.1" in size (480 x 854) and features a brighness of 400cd/m2, a conrtast ratio of 1,000:1 and covers the 70% of the NTSC colors - when displaying 2D content.
In addition, optimizing the parallax barrier design has increased the efficiency of light, thereby reducing crosstalk. Also, the thickness of the LCD module is about the same as conventional 2D displays even though it is a touchscreen display.
Main specifications
LCD size: 3.1-inch (diagonal 8cm)
Display size: 38.16 (width) x 67.893 (vertical) mm
Display pixels: 480 x (RGB) x 854 (FWVGA)
Brightness (2D): 400cd/m2
Contrast ratio: 1000:1
Colors: 70% (NTSC ratio CIE1931)
