IBM Introduces Three New Office Printers

IBM Introduces Three New Office Printers

PC components Oct 25,2006 0

The three printers unveiled today are part of IBM's newest Express Advantage offerings, which include hardware, software, services and financing offerings specifically developed for mid-sized businesses IBM today announced three new office printers designed to allow clients to lower their overall cost of printing and improve employee productivity. They are part of a sweeping update to IBM's portfolio of office printers -- with 12 new models introduced so far this year.

"We continue to expand and enhance our office printing portfolio," said Doug Oathout, vice president, IBM Printing Systems. "These new models can help clients consolidate and drive cost out of their distributed output environment. They offer an innovative combination of speed, security, image quality and cost effectiveness -- providing both large enterprises and smaller businesses with the opportunity to reinvent their approach to office printing."

The IBM Infoprint 1612 Express is a highly reliable network printer for businesses, with a small footprint and a low price. With a fast print speed of up to 35 pages per minute and a 366 Megahertz (MHz) processor, the Infoprint 1612 Express can help improve employee productivity. With features often found in higher priced models, this printer can be an excellent choice to lower overall costs by replacing older printers or inkjet printers that may be expensive to use. The Infoprint 1612 Express offers flexible networking options -- including optional wireless. With wireless capability, clients can relocate printers quickly and easily without the cost and delay associated with physical cabling.

The IBM Infoprint 1622 Express is a high-performance printer that is designed for small workgroups and businesses, especially those with limited space. It can print up to 35 pages per minute and its 400 MHz processor enables fast processing of complex jobs for quick turnaround and increased productivity. Features such as integrated duplex can make the Infoprint 1622 Express well-suited to replace older printers or expensive inkjet printers, helping to improve speed, enhance quality and save money. With duplex paper handling as a standard feature, the Infoprint 1622 Express can help save paper costs, thereby enabling a lower total cost of printing.

The IBM Infoprint Color 1634 Express can deliver powerful color and monochrome printing for small to medium workgroups from a single device. A 500 MHz processor and 128 megabytes of memory help produce fast print speeds. The Infoprint Color 1634 Express includes tools to help control color print access, produce consistent print quality and keep confidential jobs secure. A duplex model, high yield cartridges and an intuitive operator panel are all designed to improve user productivity while reducing user intervention. IBM toner formulations are specifically designed to work in conjunction with the print engine to provide dependable, brilliant color.
