IOI-5201U3W, SCSI Ultra3 Wide Host Adapter from IOI Technology

IOI-5201U3W, SCSI Ultra3 Wide Host Adapter from IOI Technology

Enterprise & IT Jan 9,2002 0

IOI Technology Corporation proudly presents IOI-5201U3W, a highly integrated Dual-Channel Wide Ultra160 SCSI to 64-bit 66 MHz PCI host adapter. It is backward compatible with 32-bit/33 MHz buses and can fit into 32-bit slots. This compatible feature enables users to apply a single adapter for all server and workstation platforms regardless the PCI architecture data path size. IOI-5201U3W provides two independent Ultra160 SCSI controllers on a single adapter. Each controller supports wide Ultra160 SCSI synchronous transfer rates up to 160 Mbps on a LVD SCSI bus. Integrated LVDlink transceivers support both LVD and single-ended signals with no external transceivers required. Fast SCSI, Ultra SCSI, Ultra2 SCSI, and Ultra160 SCSI are all supported by IOI-5201U3W.

IOI-5201U3W delivers maximum I/O throughput for demanding professional applications and high-performance peripherals. It is ideal for high-end workstations and network servers. It takes full advantage of high-speed PCI Bus and Wide Ultra160 SCSI Bus allowing for multi-user and multitasking performance.

Longer Cables and Better Connectivity

Each Ultra3 SCSI channel on IOI-5201U3W can support up to 15 devices on a 12-meter long cable. In a point-to-pint configuration, cabling can be extended up to 25 meters. Increasing the cable length provides flexibility in system configuration.
