JSAUX OmniCase 2
2. Tests / Conclusion
So we connected the Steam Deck via an HDMI 2.1 cable with the Sony X900H 55" 4K TV and we got the supported 4K @ 60HZ support with also HDR enabled.
- Conclusion
The OmniCase 2 is the latest addition from JSAUX to their docking station lineup and supports most currently sold portable gaming devices, like SteamDeck, Asus Rog Ally, and other similar devices. The package for the SteamDeck includes actually two products, the OmniStand for SteamDeck and the OmniCase 2. Both products are made out of aluminum, and they both have great build quality the OmniCase 2, apart from the 10-in-1 docking station functionality, also includes cables and needed adapters you might want in a secret compartment and this doesn't end here, you will also get storage solution for microSD/SD cards and a sim eject tool! All that in one package!
Apart from the increased useability and functions, the OmniCase 2, can also be used with regular laptops, and tablets and due to its small size/weight is very portable as well. We did like the fact that this product has both microSD and SD cards that can work together, great news for photographers.
The HDMI functionality does work as advertied (4K @ 60Hz) and if you are looking for higher refresh rates, you should look for the HB1101 Dock from JSAUX (4K @ 120Hz). For sure this product left us with a positive taste, for its usability with portable gaming consoles, its use for portable photographers with its dual microSD/SD ports and in general with the included additional storage and cables, and all that in a small, portable and good looking package, what else do you need?
