Lenovo Develops Camera Smartphone Crossover Device
To help capture and share more of life’s moments on-the-go, Lenovo today at Mobile World Congress 2015 introduced three new devices to the smartphone portfolio: the new VIBE Shot and A7000 smartphones and the Lenovo Pocket Projector. The 2-in-1 Lenovo VIBE Shot camera smartphone is equipped with a 16-megapixel rear camera featuring a six-piece modular lens. The camera has a full-frame 16:9 low-light sensor for shooting images in dark interiors or at night Thanks to the camera’s tricolor flash, photo luminosity adjusts automatically based on the ambient light conditions, and optical image stabilization reduces blur and keeps photos sharp. The VIBE Shot has also an infrared focus that’s twice as fast as normal autofocus and a physical shutter button, which means no more fumbling to find the right spot on the screen to click. Equipped with both Smart preset settings and advanced Pro settings, users can use the camera how they want by toggling between the two settings with the flick of a switch.
When it ’s time to talk or stay connected, the VIBE Shot steps up to the plate with a 5-in FHD display. Running Android 5.0 Lollipop on a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, the smartphone offers a 32 GB of storage with a microSD option to storage an additional 128 GB of music, movies and photos. Users can upload and download data quickly with LTE or connect via Wi-Fi hotspot and even manage separate data plans with dual SIM capabilities.
The VIBE Shot makes it easy to change from photographer to subject with its 8-megapixel selfie camera.
The Lenovo A7000 smartphone features a 5.5-in HD display with ultra-wide viewing angles and moving Dolby Atmos audio technology.
In addition, this multimedia smartphone is running Android 5.0 on a MediaTek True8Core processor with 4G LTE, it handles voice and data quickly and even has a dual SIM card slot for assigning two telephone numbers or a separate data plan, along with dual cameras.
The A7000 is 7.9mm thin and just 140 grams light, making it easy to fit in a bag or pocket. It comes in two colors: Onyx Black or Pearl White.
Both the VIBE Shot and the A7000 include Lenovo’s DOit apps software including: SHAREit to easily share files, photos and more between devices; CLONEit to transfer data to a new phone; SYNCit to back up contacts, text SMS and call logs; and SNAPit Camera only on the VIBE Shot to use multiple shooting modes and professional photo features.
The VIBE Shot will be available starting in June in countries where Lenovo smartphones are sold, starting at $349 USD.
The Lenovo A7000 smartphone will be available in March, starting at $169 USD.
The Lenovo Pocket Projector can be easily snapped to a compatible Android device to immediately supersizes movies, photos or even business presentations by projecting them up to 110-in on any wall or surface in low-light conditions. It packs a 50-lumen high contrast optical engine and it automatically corrects for distortion while allowing users to rotate up to 90 degrees for the best views. This portable projector casts powerful sound, too, with its dual speakers.
It takes just a few seconds to set up the Lenovo Pocket Projector, and it can project content from a smartphone wirelessly via DLNA or Miracast. When going cordless, users can project a full length movie on a single charge, with more than two hours of battery life. The projector supports the most common multimedia file formats and offers up to 32 GB of microSD storage to support large digital libraries.
