LG today announced the LG Gate, its bring-your-own-device (BYOD) platform designed to compete with Samsung Knox and BlackBerry Enterprise. The company's solution has been designed to safeguard both private and business data as they coexist on a phone. LG GATE supports a range of software and features including Data Encryption, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, Virtual Private Network (VPN) and Mobile Device Management (MDM). Additionally, LG GATE incorporates encryption technology.



The new platform will launch first in the United States on the LG G2.
