LG Electronics unveiled two high-end LCD monitors with a faster response time on Monday, in Korea. The L1732P and L1932P monitors have a 4-microsecond response time, more than twice the speed of existing products (8-12 microseconds), the company claims, and produces optimal image quality for fast-action sports, games and movies.

The monitor boasts 300cd/sq.m brightness, an increased contrast ratio of 700:1 and an ultra-wide viewing angle of 170 degrees. Other features include rotation of up to 90 degrees and auto pivot. The 17-inch model costs W420,000 (US$420) and the 19-inch model W550,000. It is not clear whether the new monitors will be shipped outside Korea.
