Allows for High Quality Full Motion HD Playback on Currently Available PCs MainConcept today announced it has released version 3.0 of its award winning H.264/AVC video decoder to key OEM customers in the broadcast, Hollywood, consumer electronics and software markets. This new version offers significant speed and quality improvements to MainConcept customers through supporting the DXVA hardware acceleration feature found in premium graphics cards from ATI and nVidia. MainConcept has also added architectural and processor specific optimizations in close collaboration with leading semiconductor manufacturers. MainConcept also performed intensive testing with H.264/AVC DVB-S2 streams to provide a smooth and error resilient playback of digital TV signals sent by satellite. The new decoder also adds support for leading audio formats like AAC and AC3 audio.

"MainConcept has always been acknowledged as the leader in the high quality and high performance video encoding market," said MainConcept Sales Director Muzaffer Beygirci, "but now with the release of our new H.264/AVC video decoder, we expect to be the leader for video decoding as well.
