Meizu Unveils The m3 Smartphone
Consumer electronics company and smartphone manufacturer Meizu today officially launched its new m3 smartphone at a press conference at Beijing China National Convention Center. The latest addition to the company's 'm series' family, the Meizu m3 comes with a 5-inch HD (1280 ×720) 2.5D curved glass display and a MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processer built using a 28nm process consisting of four 1.5GHz cores and four 1.0GHz cores and providing 60% better overall performance than its predecessor.
On the back of the m3 is a 13-megapixel camera with phase detection autofocus, dual-tone flash and 1080p video capturing capability, while on the front is a 5-megapixel camera complete with FotoNation 2.0 smart beauty technology and a Face Auto-Exposure Enhancement algorithm.
The m3 also inherits its predecessors' mBack button, which integrates Android's Back and Home buttons. An upgraded 2,800mAh battery supports 64-hours of music playing, 10% more than its predecessor.
Available in five color options - white, gray, gold, pink and blue - the device measures 5.57 × 2.73 × 0.32 inches (141.5 × 69.5 × 8.3 mm), and weighs 4.5 oz (130 grams).
The m3 will be available from CNY 599 (USD 92.25) (16GB) to CNY799 (USD 123.05)(32GB).
