The speedy new Memorex 16X Dual-Format, Double-Layer DVD Recorders allow consumers to burn single-layer DVD+R/-R discs at speeds up to 16X and new double-layer DVD+R9 discs at speeds up to 4X. Consumers with no time to spare can now burn DVD+R and DVD-R discs in just seven short minutes and a full DVD+R9 disc in about 50 minutes. They can also burn up to 8.5 GB of extended length movies, music and photos onto double-layer discs, which provide 80 percent more recording capacity compared to single-layer discs.
