MP3 In the Car?

MP3 In the Car?

General Interest Jul 19,2000 0

"...AIWA offers a simple solution - car stereo receivers that provide a quick, easy connection for portable digital audio players. Every AIWA car stereo receiver - both CD and cassette - features a front panel input into which a portable MP3 player can be plugged to play digital music files through the car stereo system. With one simple connection everyone in the car can enjoy downloaded music. And, not incidentally, the safety issue of listening to a portable player using headphones is rendered moot. Using AIWA's auxiliary input couldn't be easier - all that's needed is a wire with a mini plug on each end; one end goes into the portable player's headphone jack, the other into the car stereo unit's auxiliary input, conveniently mounted on the front panel. Every CD receiver will play CD-R and CD-RW discs.

AIWA offers a full range of CD receivers carrying suggested retail prices from $170.00 to $350.00 and cassette receivers with suggested retail prices from $110.00 to $250.00.

In addition, there are two AIWA CD changers available, a six- and 10-disc model. The ADC-M65 is a six-disc changer with a slim design for installation flexibility and see-through disc window. It's also available as the ADC-FM65, which includes an RF modulator for routing the sound through the FM tuner as an alternative to hard-wiring the changer, plus a wired and wireless remote control. Suggested retail price for the ADC-M65 is $200 and for the ADC-FM65, $250.00. AIWA's new 10-disc changer is the ADC-EX108, with the company's E.A.S.S. anti-shock system, CD text, and a see-through disc window. It has a suggested retail price of $270.00..." NULL
