New Joybook from BenQ
Joybook R53 includes a fast display and processor. BenQ extends its product range of Joybooks by a presenting a new Business Notebook.
The Joybook R53 combines a Pentium M750 Intel Centrino (1.86 Ghz, 2 MT L2 Cache) processor with 512 MB of memory and an 80 GB hard-disk. It supports WLAN in the form of t802.11a/b/g and it comes equipped with a double Layer DVD burner.
It's display is a 15,4" Widescreen-TFT at a native resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels. The display offers a brightness of 200 cd/m. and a response time of 16 ms. The on-board display chip is based on the X600 chipset of ATI with 64 MB of RAM.
Using a lithium ion battery, Joybook R53 can a run up to four hours. It includes USB, Firewire, VGA, PCMCIA type II and a S-Video connections and a 56k modem (RJ11). DC in and a network port (RJ45) are also standard parts.
The unit features 1 card reader, MEMORY stick, Secure digital and a Multimedia Card.
The dimensions of the notebook is 36.3 x 26.9 x 3.8 cm. The weight is about 2,6 kg.
The Joybook R53 will be available at the beginning of Septembers at a price of 1.189 Euros (bundled with Windows XP Home) and 1,229 Euros (Windows XP pro).
