Toshiba's OCZ Storage Solutions has made available the new Vertex 460A SATA III SSD series for mainstream users. This line includes all the features and performance specifications of the company's Vertex 460 series, with enhancements including the use of next generation Toshiba A19 MLC NAND flash, and the company's ShieldPlus Warranty.

Hitting shelves this week, Vertex 460A SSD is using the OCZ Barefoot 3 controller at its core and is ated for bandwidth performance up to 545MB/s and random I/O performance up to 95,000 IOPS and are available in 120GB, 240GB, and 480GB capacities. Vertex 460A SSDs are rated to deliver 20GB of host writes per day for a 3-year warranty, and feature a suite of flash management tools that analyze and dynamically adapt to increasing NAND vulnerabilities as flash cells wear.

The Vertex 460A series also comes with $55USD worth of accessories including Acronis True Image hard drive cloning software and a 3.5-inch desktop adaptor for upgrading as well as OCZ's new ShieldPlus warranty.
